Microblading is a form of permanent makeup, also referred to as cosmetic tattooing, micro-pigmentation, eyebrow embroidery, feather brows or 3D brows. It is the procedure of placing colour into the dermal layer of the skin. Pigment is implanted using tiny needles to mimic hair where it is lacking in eyebrows or scalp. Tiny strokes of colour are created to resemble fine hairs that create a more desirable brow shape.
POWDER / OMBRE BROWS
A Powder/Ombre brow is a form of permanent makeup that gives a similar effect to wearing powder or pencil on your brows – a more defined look.
The procedure is performed using a micro-pigmentation machine. The results tend to last longer than microblading as the pigment is inserted deeper than the manual method and is best suited for individuals with oily skin or little to no brow hair.
COMBINATION / COMBRE BROWS
MOST POPULAR BROW TREATMENT
The best of both – natural hair strokes + soft powder effect shading.
Soft pigment into the skin to create natural hair stroke eyebrows with a soft shaded finish. The result, it creates a perfectly shaped yet natural brow.
Great for over-plucked / thinning brows.
Consultations & Precautions
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
- First, you and your therapist discuss what shape eyebrows you want and go through your consulation form
- Next the brows are mapped using a brow pencil to outline the shape on your eyebrow.
- One the shape is agreed, any excess hair outside this shape is removed.
- Then the procedure will begin, using tiny needles, the pigment is inserted into the upper layers of the skin to the desired look.
- Numbing solution is applied throughout the treatment to maintain your comfort.
- Once both brows are finished, the excess pigment is wiped away and the new brows are revealed.
- Once the treatment is complete, aftercare advice is discussed and provided and aftercare ointment is also given with instructions for use.
All products used are suitable for vegans and are cruelty free. Each tool used is single use and is disposed off after each treatment.
The highest standards of hygiene are maintained and observed in the treatment room.
Our needles are sealed and packaged and opened right before starting the procedure. They are only used for one procedure and then safely discarded. Our trays, beds, and other instruments are sterilized before and after every procedure. There is also an air purifier used overnight everyday in the treatment room.

Permanent makeup can last for 1-3 years. A touch up is required 6-10 weeks after the initial appointment. Clients that choose a soft ombré or microblading application, light color shade or did not follow the aftercare instructions may require more touch up appointments.
Factors that will cause your permanent makeup application to fade faster include: tanning bed/sun exposure, exfoliating, oily skin, profuse sweating (e.g. hot yoga 5x/week), medical conditions. We recommend a yearly “color boost” touch-up to maintain the procedure’s color integrity, but always advocate holding off for as long as possible to maintain skin integrity
Yes – all semi permanent brows require a top up after 4-6 weeks complete the treatment.
After that, once your treatment is complete, you will require colour boosts every 12-18 months.

Ideally not- please avoid doing any shaping ahead of your appointment. Once we have agreed the shape, I will shape the brows and will remove any unwanted hairs during the appointment.
It depends – Some clients describe feeling minimal discomfort and pain similar to threading or waxing; whilst others say they felt barely any pain at all.
The amount of discomfort will depend on your individual pain tolerance as well as your body’s reaction to anaesthetic. I use a very effective topical anaesthetic during the procedure and will always do my best to make sure you are comfortable. Anaesthetic can be applied throughout the procedure at any time if needed. Microblading is known to be more uncomfortable than the machine brows (Powder & Ombre Brows)
Yes, it can be useful to see what colour tones and shape you usually choose for your brows, but you don’t have to. I often ask for a picture of your brows when made up or your ideal brows to get an idea.
The colour intensity will be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment and for a few days. This will subside and become lighter as the skin heals. This process can take up to 10 days. Everyone is individual and so this could be much shorter.
Yes – depending on what natural hair you already have, as you must remember that Semi-Permanent Makeup does not affect the hair growth or colour of your own hair in any way. It only colours the skin under the hair.
